Sleepy Hollow State Park encompasses 2,600 acres of scenic beauty centered around the 410-acre Lake Ovid in Clinton County, Michigan. The modern campground features 180 spacious, wooded campsites divided between north and south loops, with each site offering an asphalt or concrete pad surrounded by natural shrubs for privacy. The campground provides modern restrooms with toilet and shower buildings, a sanitation station with two lanes, electrical service (including some 50-amp sites), pull-through sites, and ADA-accessible facilities. The park is a popular destination for diverse outdoor recreation. Lake Ovid, a no-wake lake, attracts paddlers, anglers, and boaters, with four fishing piers, a boat launch, and kayak launch providing easy water access. The fishery includes muskie, largemouth and smallmouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and catfish. A designated swim beach with beach house and buoyed swim area serves summer visitors, while canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards are available for rent at the campground office Memorial Day through Labor Day. Equestrians enjoy 12 miles of trails, a staging area, and two horse-friendly cabins with picket poles and corrals. Additional amenities include an 18-hole disc golf course, playgrounds with basketball courts and Gaga ball pit, three picnic shelters, and winter recreation opportunities including cross-country skiing and backcountry snowmobiling.
