Sleepy Hollow State Park Campground is located in Clinton County, Michigan, bordering the 410-acre Lake Ovid reservoir. The campground provides 181 modern campsites spread across multiple loops, with options ranging from standard 20/30 amp electric sites to upgraded 50 amp concrete pads. Approximately 10 pull-through sites accommodate larger RVs. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. Central amenities include a modern restroom and shower building, potable water, and a dump station near the campground entrance. The park encompasses over 2,600 acres of rolling terrain featuring 16 miles of trails open to hiking and biking, plus 6.5 miles designated for horseback riding and winter dog sledding. Lake Ovid serves as the recreational centerpiece with a designated swim beach, four fishing piers, a boat launch, and kayak launch. Canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards are available for rent from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Anglers pursue bass, bluegill, catfish, and northern pike. The campground recently completed a $5.4 million renovation that replaced the toilet and shower building, paved campground roads, updated the beach building, and added water and sewer hookups for RV sites. Accessible amenities include a floating beach wheelchair, Amigo scooter, and two accessible hunting blinds available at no charge. A Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry.
