About

Blind Lake Rustic Campground provides a true backcountry camping experience in southeastern Michigan's Pinckney Recreation Area. Located about 7 miles from the Silver Lake trailhead and roughly halfway along the 17-mile Potawatomi Trail loop, this hike-in campground sits on the peaceful shore of Blind Lake. The setting offers solitude and immersion in the mixed hardwood and wetland habitats that define this 11,000-acre recreation area. The campground has 10 primitive sites, each with a fire ring and picnic table. A vault toilet and hand-pump provide basic sanitation and water access. As a rustic facility, there are no showers, electricity, or modern amenities. Camping is limited to one-night stays, and campers must check in at the park headquarters at 8555 Silver Hill Road in Pinckney before hiking to the campground. Reservations are available through MiDNRReservations.com or by calling 734-426-4913. Day-of arrivals may be available first-come, first-served. A Michigan Recreation Passport is required for vehicle entry to the recreation area.
