About

Bruin Lake Modern Campground is the premier camping facility within Pinckney State Recreation Area, offering 161 campsites along a picturesque chain of seven interconnected lakes. Located at 21237 Kaiser Road in Gregory, Michigan, this modern campground provides electrical hookups with some 50-amp sites available, making it popular with RV campers and trailers. The facility features modern restroom buildings with flush toilets and showers during the main season, a sanitation station for RVs, and a playground for children. Campers enjoy direct access to excellent water-based recreation including a private beach, fishing pier, and boat launch providing entry to the seven-lake chain. Paddlesport rentals are available on-site through Hell Canoe & Kayak Rentals during the peak season. The campground serves as an ideal base for exploring Pinckney's extensive trail system, with over 40 miles of multi-use trails for hiking and mountain biking, including the popular Potawatomi Trail. The 11,000-acre Pinckney State Recreation Area encompasses diverse glacial terrain with rolling hills, terminal moraine features, and numerous lakes offering fishing, boating and wildlife viewing opportunities. The park is known for its backcountry feel despite its proximity to Ann Arbor and the greater Detroit metropolitan area. Anglers can fish for bass, panfish and northern pike in the connected lake system.

The campground is located at 21237 Kaiser Road, Gregory, MI 48137. Note that Pinckney Recreation Area is expansive and covers over 11,000 acres. The Kaiser Road address is for Bruin Lake Campground specifically, not the park headquarters on Silver Hill Road in Pinckney.
