About

Sleepy Bend Campground is a Class C primitive camping area operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, situated on the shores of Lower Sardis Lake in north Mississippi's rolling hills. The campground provides a rustic tent camping experience with 44 non-electric sites spread throughout the facility. Each campsite includes a fire pit, picnic table, and lantern pole for evening light. The campground features two shower houses for camper convenience. While the campground itself offers a peaceful, primitive setting, recreational amenities including walking trails, playgrounds, and swimming beaches are available a short drive away at other Sardis Lake recreation areas. Sardis Lake covers approximately 98,000 acres and offers fishing, boating, water skiing, and swimming throughout the recreation area. Reservations for Sleepy Bend Campground are handled through Recreation.gov. The campground operates seasonally, and campers should check current availability as conditions and schedules may vary.
