About

Sleepy Bend Campground is a Class C campground operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, situated along the peaceful shores of Lower Sardis Lake in Panola County, Mississippi. This tent-only facility offers 44 non-electric campsites designed for those seeking a more primitive camping experience on the water. The campground provides basic amenities including two shower houses for camper convenience. While the sites themselves lack hookups, the lakeside location offers excellent access to fishing and water activities. Walking trails, playgrounds, and beaches are located a short drive from the campground area, providing additional recreational opportunities for families and outdoor enthusiasts. As a Class C facility, Sleepy Bend offers a budget-friendly camping option with minimal services, ideal for tent campers who appreciate a quieter, more natural setting on the reservoir. The campground is part of the larger Sardis Lake recreation area, which features a 32,000-acre reservoir known for bass and catfish fishing.
