About
Pat's Bluff Day Use is a recreation area located on the southern shoreline of Sardis Lake in North Mississippi. Named for the prominent sandstone bluffs along the lake's shoreline, this facility provides access to one of the top-ranked crappie fishing lakes in the country. The 32,000-acre Sardis Lake reservoir is also known for excellent bass and catfish fishing. The day-use area features a group picnic pavilion that accommodates approximately 50 people and a boat ramp for lake access. The recreation area is covered in a mixture of hardwood and pine forests that open to expansive views of Sardis Lake. Popular activities include fishing, boating, sailing, skiing, and kayaking. Conveniently located near Interstate 55 off MS Highway 278, Pat's Bluff is approximately 20 minutes from Oxford, Mississippi, home of the University of Mississippi, and 10 minutes from Batesville. The facility is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as part of Sardis Lake's 98,000-acre total area in the rolling hills of North Mississippi.
