About

Engineer Point serves as a popular day use recreation area located on the southern end of Sardis Dam at beautiful Sardis Lake in northwest Mississippi. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this facility is designed for day visitors seeking lake access and outdoor recreation rather than overnight camping. The recreation area features two boat launching ramps providing excellent access to Sardis Lake's 30,000 acres of water. Visitors will find a group picnic shelter available for reservation, along with 46 individual covered and uncovered picnic sites. Additional amenities include comfort stations, a courtesy boat dock and pier, and a fish cleaning station. The area is popular for boating, fishing, and lakeside picnicking. Sardis Lake stretches over 98,000 acres of land and water through Panola, Lafayette, and Marshall counties in the rolling hills of northwest Mississippi. The lake is known for its natural beauty, sand beaches, and excellent fishing opportunities. Engineer Point provides convenient access to explore the lake and enjoy water-based recreation in this scenic setting.

Engineer Point is located on Black Jack Road near Sardis Dam. The ramp is approximately 8 miles from Interstate 55 at Batesville, MS. It is approximately 5 miles from MS Highway 6 and 9 miles from Interstate 55 at Sardis, MS.
