About

Cypress Point is a day-use recreation area managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Sardis Lake in Panola County, Mississippi. Situated on the shore of the Lower Lake, a 400-acre impoundment downstream of Sardis Dam, the area provides convenient access to water-based recreation and picnicking facilities. The facility offers 24 individual picnic sites, a group picnic shelter that accommodates up to 150 people, a swim beach, boat ramp, playground, and half basketball court. A comfort station is available on site. The group shelter can be reserved through Recreation.gov and has a check-out time of 10:00 PM. Important: Cypress Point is exclusively a day-use area and does not provide overnight camping. Campers seeking overnight accommodations at Sardis Lake should consider nearby campgrounds such as Clear Creek, Oak Grove, Paradise Point, Beach Point, or Big Acres.
