About
John W. Kyle State Park Campground occupies a wooded peninsula along Lower Sardis Lake in Panola County, Mississippi. The campground provides over 200 developed campsites equipped with full hookups including water, electric service (15, 20, 30, and 50 amp), and sewer connections. Pull-through sites are available for larger rigs. Each site features a picnic table and grill. A centrally located bathhouse offers flush toilets, hot showers, and laundry facilities.
The park sits on Sardis Reservoir, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lake known for crappie and bass fishing. A boat ramp provides direct water access. Other amenities include a swimming pool, playground, volleyball court, and an 18-hole disc golf course. The main park area on the upper lake features cabins, a lodge, and nature trails.
Located about an hour south of Memphis off Highway 315, the park serves as a convenient basecamp for exploring the Mississippi Delta and Oxford. Reservations can be made up to 24 months in advance through the Mississippi State Parks reservation system, with a minimum 2-day advance booking required.
