Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strongest winds will occur through and below the Cajon Pass and adjacent foothills, below the San Gorgonio Pass, and through the canyons of the Santa Ana Mountains.
About
Mesa Campground is the primary family campground at Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area, situated on an elevated bluff with scenic views of the 976-acre lake. The campground is divided into Old Mesa Campground (sites 1-95) with non-hookup campsites located just past the park entrance, and New Mesa Campground (sites 96-136) offering full hookups with 20, 30, and 50 amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections. All campsites accommodate up to 8 people and include a fire ring, charcoal grill, and picnic table. The campground provides modern amenities including flush toilets and coin-operated showers in both sections. ADA-accessible sites are available. RVs and trailers up to 32 feet can be accommodated, with a maximum of 3 vehicles per site. Silverwood Lake is a popular destination for water recreation including boating, waterskiing, swimming, and fishing. The park features swim beaches, a marina with boat rentals, and bike trails. The campground serves as a base for exploring the surrounding San Bernardino County mountain areas and provides convenient access to the Pacific Crest Trail, with special hike-and-bike campsites available for PCT hikers.
Directions
From I-15, take the Silverwood Lake exit onto Highway 138. Follow Highway 138 east for approximately 11 miles to the park entrance.
