Sibley State Park Group Campground

Open

Open for the season. Group camps at Sibley State Park operate mid-May through October. Reservations available up to 120 days in advance through the Minnesota DNR reservation system.

About

Sibley State Park Group Campground consists of three separate tent-only group camping areas located along Lake 21 in west-central Minnesota's Kandiyohi County. Each group camp accommodates between 20 and 50 people, making them well-suited for Scout troops, church groups, family reunions, and other organized gatherings. All sites feature fire rings with grills, picnic tables, running water access, and vault toilets. Modern restrooms and showers are not available at the group camps. The park sits among glacially formed hills and lakes, with Mount Tom serving as the highest point in the area. Hikers can climb to the observation platform atop Mount Tom for 360-degree views of the surrounding prairie and woodland landscape. Lake Andrew provides a swimming beach, boat ramp, and fishing opportunities. The park's interpretive center offers exhibits on local geology and wetland ecology. The group campground operates seasonally from mid-May through October. Reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance through the Minnesota DNR reservation system online or by phone. Only approved firewood may be used due to emerald ash borer restrictions.
