About

The Southeast Group Camp at Glacial Lakes State Park is designed for family reunions, Scout troops, and other groups wanting to camp together. The site accommodates up to 50 people and features an open picnic shelter equipped with a fire pit, lights, and electric outlets. Located on the south side of Signalness Lake (also known as Mountain Lake), the group camp provides convenient access to fishing docks just down the hill and connects to the park's trail system. Glacial Lakes State Park sits on a complex glacial deposit where prairieland meets central hardwood forests. The park offers excellent vistas of Mountain and Baby Lakes from its rolling hills and restored native prairie. The 56-acre Mountain Lake features fresh, clear water for swimming at the beach, fishing from accessible docks, and boating with electric motors only. The park has boat, canoe, kayak, and paddleboard rentals available. The group camp area provides primitive camping facilities with picnic tables, fire rings with grills, and access to water and toilets. Groups can explore the park's extensive trail system, including trails for hiking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing that wind through prairie restoration areas and hardwood forests.
