About

The Southeast Group Camp at Glacial Lakes State Park provides a spacious primitive camping area for groups up to 50 people. The centerpiece is an open picnic shelter equipped with a fire pit, electric lights, and outlets. Three electric pedestals allow RV or trailer hookups, while scattered picnic tables and fire rings accommodate tent campers throughout the site. Vault toilets and potable water are available on-site. Glacial Lakes State Park sits in the transition zone between Minnesota's eastern hardwood forests and western prairie, shaped by glacial activity that left behind a landscape of rolling hills, wetlands, and lakes. Signalness Lake, a 56-acre lake at the park's heart, offers swimming, fishing, and electric-motor boating. The park maintains 16 miles of hiking trails and 11 miles of horseback riding trails that wind through restored prairie and oak savanna. Group campers have access to the park's broader amenities including a swimming beach, fishing pier, boat launch, and rental watercraft. The campground's location provides convenient access to trails while maintaining separation from the park's drive-in campgrounds.
