Open year-round with reservations available. Shower building operates seasonally.
About
Lower Campground at Glacial Lakes State Park offers 19 campsites situated atop an esker among tall shade trees. The campground includes 14 sites with 50-amp electric service and five non-electric sites, along with two camper cabins. An accessible shower building operates seasonally. The campground provides convenient access to two fishing docks on Signalness Lake, located just down the hill from the sites. The park is positioned where prairieland meets central hardwood forests, providing scenic views of rolling glacial hills and open prairie. Signalness Lake is a spring-fed, 56-acre lake restricted to non-motorized watercraft and electric motors only. Camp hosts are available to assist campers and sell firewood. The campground is located near hiking trails, fishing opportunities, and winter recreation areas including cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails.
Directions
From Starbuck, Minnesota, drive south on State Route 29 for approximately 3 miles to County Road 41. Turn south onto County Road 41 and continue for about 2 miles to reach the park entrance.
