About

Oak Ridge Campground at Glacial Lakes State Park offers a rustic retreat set apart from the main day-use area. Perched atop an esker, a winding ridge formed by glacial meltwater streams, the campground provides 18 shaded campsites nestled among mature oak trees. This setting delivers more privacy and solitude compared to the Lower Campground. The campground provides vault toilets and potable water via communal spigots. While there are no electric hookups or showers on-site, campers can access the shower building at the Lower Campground approximately 0.3 miles away. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. Glacial Lakes State Park sits within Minnesota's prairie-lake country, featuring rolling hills, native prairie remnants, and several lakes. A fishing dock on Signalness Lake is located just 0.2 miles from Oak Ridge Campground. The park offers hiking, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing across its glacially sculpted landscape.

Directions

From Starbuck, Minnesota, head south on MN-29 for approximately 5 miles. Turn right onto County Road 41, then follow signs to Glacial Lakes State Park. Oak Ridge Campground is located on the esker ridge away from the main day-use area.
