About

Shockaloe Base Camp II is one of two base camps supporting the Shockaloe Horse Trail system in Mississippi's Bienville National Forest. Located 8 miles northwest of Forest on Forest Service Road 513, this facility provides essential services for equestrians exploring the trail network through the piney woods of central Mississippi. The camp features five pull-through parking spaces sized for horse trailers, making arrival and departure straightforward. A group pavilion with hitching rails provides a central gathering area, while vault toilets and potable water from a hand pump address basic needs. Picnic tables are available for day use. Overnight camping is permitted at $7 per night on a first-come, first-served basis. The group pavilion can be rented for $40 per day.
