Roosevelt State Park sits on the shores of 150-acre Shadow Lake in Scott County, nestled within the Bienville National Forest southwest of Morton. The park underwent significant renovations and now features 110 full-hookup RV campsites divided between the R.O. Hannah Campground on the lake's east side and the CCC Campground on the west. All sites have paved roads and pads with water, electric, and sewer connections, along with picnic tables and grills. Campground amenities include modern bathhouses with hot showers and coin-operated laundry facilities within walking distance of all sites. A centralized dump station serves the campgrounds. Beyond camping, the park offers a seasonal swimming pool with water slide, disc golf course, tennis courts, playgrounds, and 4.8 miles of marked nature trails suitable for hiking and mountain biking. Shadow Lake provides excellent fishing opportunities, kayak rentals, and a boat launch. A camp store, visitor center, and banquet facilities round out the offerings.
