East Bank Shelter
This is a day-use shelter only, not an overnight campground. The park closes at sunset and all visitors must vacate by closing time. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov at $50 per day.
About
East Bank Shelter is a group pavilion rental facility operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Okatibbee Lake near Collinsville, Mississippi. Situated on a hill in East Bank Park at the eastern end of the dam, the shelter offers a covered gathering space with electric service, adjacent restrooms, and ample parking for group events. The facility includes on-site recreation amenities: a basketball goal, a small playground, and a large open grassy area behind the shelter ideal for games and activities. A large playground is located directly across the road. The shelter is popular for family reunions, birthday parties, and community gatherings. This is a day-use facility only. The park closes at sunset, and all guests must vacate by closing time. Reservations are made through Recreation.gov. Water slides, water balloons, confetti, and inflatable bounce houses (without special permits) are prohibited. Groups are responsible for cleanup and must adhere to noise restrictions.
Directions
From Collinsville, take Okatibbee Dam Road to 8490 Okatibbee Dam Rd. Follow Tailrace Road to the east end of Okatibbee Dam. The shelter is on the hill on the right side of the road, across from a large playground.
