About
Collinsville Shelter is a group picnic pavilion situated within the Collinsville Day Use Area on the western shore of Okatibbee Lake in Lauderdale County, Mississippi. This facility is managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District. This is strictly a day-use facility and does not offer overnight camping. The park closes at sunset, and all guests must have the shelter cleaned, lights turned off, and the area vacated by closing time. The shelter includes electrical service for group events and gatherings. Okatibbee Lake is an 11,000-acre multi-purpose reservoir offering recreation opportunities including swimming, boating, and fishing. Overnight camping at Okatibbee Lake is available at other designated campground facilities, not at this day-use shelter.
