About

LeFleur's Bluff State Park offers a unique camping experience as an urban oasis within Mississippi's capital city of Jackson. Situated on 305 acres along the Pearl River, the park is named for Louis LeFleur, a French-Canadian explorer who established a trading post here in the late 1700s. The campground features 28 developed sites equipped with water and electric hookups suitable for both RVs and tents, plus 30 shaded primitive tent sites near the lake that are ideal for scout groups. All overnight guests have access to a bathhouse with hot showers, and the developed camping area includes a central sewage dump station. Monthly camping may be available by contacting the park office. Beyond camping, the park offers extensive recreational opportunities including fishing on 50-acre Mayes Lake for bass, bream, catfish, and crappie. Boaters can launch their own vessels but are limited to electric trolling motors only. Kayakers and paddleboarders are welcome. The park also features an 18-hole disc golf course, nature trails, picnic pavilions, playgrounds, and a nine-hole golf course with driving range. The park's location provides convenient access to Jackson's museums, shopping, and dining, making it an ideal base for exploring the city while enjoying a natural setting.

Directions

Located off Interstate 55 within Jackson city limits at 3315 Lakeland Terrace. The park entrance is accessible from Lakeland Drive, with the west entrance off Museum Drive near the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science.
