LeFleur's Bluff State Park Campground offers a lush green escape within Mississippi's capital city of Jackson. The campground features 28 developed sites equipped with water and electric hookups, a central sewage dump station, and bathhouse facilities with hot showers. Additionally, 30 shaded primitive tent sites are located near Mayes Lake, ideal for scout groups and tent campers seeking a more rustic experience. Named for French-Canadian explorer Louis LeFleur who established a trading post on the Pearl River in the late 1700s, this 305-acre park provides diverse recreational opportunities. Mayes Lake offers fishing for bass, bream, catfish, and crappie, with a boat launch for electric trolling motors and kayaks. The park features an 18-hole disc golf course, nature trails, picnic pavilions, and playgrounds. Nearby attractions include the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science and Mississippi Children's Museum. The park provides a convenient base for exploring Jackson's museums, dining, and cultural attractions while offering the tranquility of a natural setting along the Pearl River. Located off Interstate 55 within Jackson city limits at 3315 Lakeland Terrace. The park entrance is accessible from Lakeland Drive, with the west entrance off Museum Drive near the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science.
