About
Clarkco State Park encompasses 815 acres of gently rolling woodlands in Clarke County, Mississippi, about 15 miles south of Meridian. Originally developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1938, the park underwent comprehensive renovations from 2023-2026 and celebrated its grand reopening on March 19, 2026. The centerpiece is 65-acre Ivy Lake, which offers freshwater fishing and a boat launch.
The campground features 43 updated RV sites, each with full hookups including water, electricity, and sewer service. Sites have long concrete pads with picnic tables and grills. Three bathhouses serve the camping area, with two offering hot showers and laundry facilities. A central dump station is available for RV waste disposal. The park also has six fully renovated cabins with modern appliances, flatscreen TVs, walk-in showers, and outdoor porches with fire pits and grills.
Recreational offerings include 14 miles of nature and mountain biking trails, tennis and pickleball courts, a playground, splash pad, and the Twin Pines disc golf course. The park has a camp store with retail goods and kayak rentals. Day-use facilities include 60 picnic sites around Ivy Lake and three reservable pavilions.
