About

Service Campground is situated along the high banks of Coffeeville Lake, the third largest lake on the Black Warrior-Tombigbee Waterway in Alabama. With a surface area of 8,800 acres and a length of 97 miles, the lake provides excellent opportunities for camping, fishing, and boating. The campground offers 32 spacious, private campsites located near or close to the water, including two tent-only sites. All sites feature 50-amp electric and water hookups, picnic tables, lantern holders, and campfire rings with grills. The facility includes a bathhouse with hot showers and other comforts of home, along with convenient access to a boat ramp and a playground for children. Fishing is the most popular activity, with anglers catching bass, crappie, bream, catfish, and other species both on and off shore. The campground is surrounded by a mixed pine and hardwood forest, dense conifer stands, and rolling meadows featuring colorful wildflower displays. Wood ducks, bald eagles, and many other wildlife species inhabit the area. The peaceful, scenic shoreline and proximity to the Choctaw National Wildlife Refuge make this a prime destination for outdoor enthusiasts.

Directions

From Coffeeville, Alabama, drive about four miles west on U.S. Highway 84 and follow the signs to campground entrance. Park is located at mile marker 20 on Highway 84.
