About
East Bank Beach Shelters is a seasonal day-use facility managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on the William "Bill" Dannelly Reservoir section of the Alabama River. Located in Millers Ferry, Alabama, this beach area provides a designated swimming zone with sandy beach surrounded by picnic tables and a spacious grassy lawn. The facility offers two group picnic shelters with electric hookups available for reservation. These pavilions provide shaded group picnicking with scenic reservoir views. The park closes at 7:00 p.m. daily during the operating season, and shelter rentals are subject to specific use conditions including noise restrictions and capacity limits based on seating and parking availability. The reservoir covers approximately 27 square miles with over 500 miles of shoreline, providing opportunities for boating, fishing, and other water activities. East Bank Beach is part of the larger Alabama River Lakes recreation system operated by the Corps of Engineers.

East Bank Beach is located in Millers Ferry, Alabama, on the William "Bill" Dannelly section of the Alabama River. From Camden, take Highway 28 west for 9 miles to reach the dam area.
