Open for the 2026 season from May 1 through October 11. Peak season with 7-night minimum stay runs June 26 to August 27. Swimming beach and boat rentals available late June through late August only. Reservations required at least 1 day in advance and can be made up to 9 months ahead. Two Victory Trail connections are temporarily closed through mid-2027 due to beach facility construction.

* WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 105 to 115 expected. * WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York. * WHEN...Until 9 PM EDT Saturday. * IMPACTS...Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This is a multi-day extreme heat event with near record high temperatures and little overnight relief. This level of heat can be deadly for those without adequate cooling and hydration. Impacts to transportation infrastructure and electrical and water systems are also possible.
Air Quality Alert issued July 2 at 3:05AM EDT by NWS Upton NY
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for the following counties: New York, Bronx, Kings, Queens, Richmond, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland. until 11 PM EDT this evening. Air quality levels in outdoor air are predicted to be greater than an Air Quality Index value of 100 for the pollutant of Ground Level Ozone. The Air Quality Index, or AQI, was created as an easy way to correlate levels of different pollutants to one scale. The higher the AQI value, the greater the health concern. When pollution levels are elevated, the New York State Department of Health recommends that individuals consider limiting strenuous outdoor physical activity to reduce the risk of adverse health effects. People who may be especially sensitive to the effects of elevated levels of pollutants include the very young, and those with preexisting respiratory problems such as asthma or heart disease. Those with symptoms should consider consulting their personal physician. Sebago Cabin Camp is a family-oriented cabin rental facility located on Lake Sebago within Harriman State Park in the Hudson Valley region of New York. The camp offers 38 rustic two-bedroom cabins (each sleeping up to 6 people with 2 cots per bedroom) and two full-service cottages (sleeping up to 4). Cabins are rented on a weekly basis during peak season with a 7-night minimum stay required from late June through late August. The lakefront location provides swimming beach access (lifeguarded from late June through late August, conditions permitting), rowboat rentals, and fishing opportunities. On-site amenities include flush restrooms, hot showers, laundry facilities, a playground, recreation hall, tennis courts, volleyball, basketball, and baseball/softball facilities. Saturday bonfires and rainy day activities are organized during peak season. The camp provides direct access to Harriman State Park's extensive trail network for hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing. Note that swimming and boat rentals operate only from the 4th Saturday in June through the 4th weekend in August, staffing permitting. Two Victory Trail connections near the northwest corner of Lake Sebago are temporarily closed through mid-2027 due to beach rehabilitation construction.
