About

Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, this historic log cabin provides an authentic rustic experience at Scenic State Park. Located near the historic lodge and beach on Coon-Shandwick Lake, the cabin offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by virgin white and red pines. The single-room cabin sleeps up to four people with a double-over-double bunk bed and includes a small kitchenette equipped with a hot plate and mini-refrigerator, plus a cozy fireplace with an electrical insert. The cabin has no indoor plumbing, but toilet and shower facilities are conveniently located nearby in the campground. Outside, guests enjoy a picnic area with fire pits and parking for up to three vehicles. The cabin is positioned near Coon Lake and Sandwick Lake, offering easy access to fishing, canoeing, and scenic wilderness trails. Guests must bring their own bedding and linens and are responsible for cleaning after their stay.
