About

Scenic Cabin is a piece of Depression-era history tucked into one of Minnesota's most pristine state parks. Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, the cabin sits near the historic lodge on Coon-Sandwick Lake, surrounded by towering virgin white and red pines that give the park its name. The cabin accommodates four guests in a single bedroom with a double-over-double bunk bed. Amenities include a small kitchenette with a hot plate and mini-refrigerator, plus a fireplace with an electrical insert for ambiance. There's no private bathroom, but flush toilets and hot showers are a short walk away in the campground. Outside, guests have access to a picnic area and fire pit. Scenic State Park offers excellent paddling on its clear lakes, a sandy swimming beach, 14 miles of hiking trails, and rental boats available at the park office. In winter, the park grooms cross-country ski and snowmobile trails. The park lies just off the Edge of the Wilderness Scenic Byway near Bigfork.
