About

Chase Point Campground sits within Scenic State Park, one of Minnesota's most beautiful state parks featuring virgin white and red pines and undeveloped lakeshores. The campground offers a wilderness-like setting with spacious, well-separated sites nestled among tall pines. Many campsites provide lake views, particularly of Coon Lake. The campground is located near a lakeside boardwalk and provides access to the Chase Point Trail, which offers hypnotic views from an esker overlooking Coon and Sandwick Lakes. The park features pristine fishing lakes with northern pike, walleye, and panfish, along with boat and canoe rentals available. The campground caters to both tent campers and RVers, though sites are narrow and better suited for smaller to medium-sized RVs. Scenic State Park's remote location provides minimal light pollution, making it ideal for stargazing and meteor showers. The park offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter months when the park remains open for day use. The campground provides a true northern Minnesota wilderness experience with abundant wildlife viewing and bird watching opportunities.
