Sandy Point Youth Group Campground sits within the 786-acre Sandy Point State Park on Maryland's western shore of the Chesapeake Bay, near Annapolis. The campground consists of two primitive tent sites (YG A and YG B), each designed exclusively for organized youth groups and capable of hosting up to 30 individuals. Sites feature small picnic shelters with two tables and a grill, positioned with views overlooking the bay. The campground operates seasonally from early April through late October. Restrooms and shower facilities are available at the nearby bathhouse serving the park's beach areas. Youth groups may also arrange volunteer service projects during their stay by signing up online at least 14 days in advance. Sandy Point State Park offers extensive recreational opportunities including over a mile of sandy beach, 22 boat launch ramps, fishing and crabbing piers, hiking trails through pine forests and marshlands, a marina store, and a nature center. Pets are permitted in the park except on sandy beach areas during the summer swimming season.

Directions

Located in Sandy Point State Park at 1100 East College Parkway, Annapolis, Maryland. The youth group campground is situated near the southern end of the park, close to the Chesapeake Bay. Access the park from US Route 50 at the western end of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.
