About

Tuckahoe State Park Campground sits along Tuckahoe Creek on Maryland's Eastern Shore, about 35 miles east of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. The campground features 54 family campsites split between two loops: 33 sites with 15/30/50-amp electric hookups and 21 non-electric sites. A central bathhouse with flush toilets and showers serves campers, and potable water spigots are located throughout each loop. Every site has a camping pad, picnic table, and fire ring. A dump station is available for RVs and trailers. The surrounding 4,000-acre park offers exceptional outdoor recreation. Tuckahoe Creek winds through the property, and a 60-acre lake provides fishing and paddling opportunities with canoe and kayak rentals available. Over 25 miles of multi-use trails accommodate hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. Additional amenities include disc golf, playgrounds, an archery range, and an equestrian center. Seven mini cabins with electricity, heat, and air conditioning are also available for those seeking more comfort. The campground operates seasonally from late March through early November. Reservations can be made up to a year in advance through parkreservations.maryland.gov or by calling 1-888-432-CAMP. The park is accessible and pet-friendly, with ADA-accessible campsites, restrooms, and facilities available.
