Wye Island State Park Group Youth Campground, situated within the Wye Island Natural Resources Management Area in Queenstown, Maryland, offers two primitive campsites: Dividing Creek and Solo Cove. Each site accommodates up to 40 people and is equipped with pit toilets. The campground is designed exclusively for youth groups, requiring a valid Maryland Park Service youth group pass for reservations. The surrounding area features six miles of trails suitable for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, as well as opportunities for fishing and wildlife viewing. Canoes and kayaks are available for rent, providing access to the Wye River's scenic waterways. Firewood is available for purchase on-site, and visitors are reminded that importing personal firewood is prohibited to prevent the spread of invasive species. The campground operates from late March through late October, aligning with the typical camping season in the region.

Directions

From Queenstown, MD, take US-50 East for approximately 3 miles. Turn right onto Carmichael Road and continue for about 5 miles, crossing the Wye Island Bridge onto Wye Island. The campground is located within the Wye Island Natural Resources Management Area.
