This is a ranger station, not a campground. No overnight camping is available at this facility. The ranger station is open daily 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Perimeter Trail Closed

The section of the perimeter trail from the .8 mile marker to the 1.9 mile marker at Park Central Road is closed for repairs. This trail was closed under emergency conditions on July 22, 2025, and will remain closed until December 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

South Parking Lot of Greenbelt Park Closed to Vehicle Access

This area will be closed to vehicle access from 12:00 a.m. May 9, 2025, and continuing until September 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. The area will remain available to pedestrians.

Restroom Closures at Greenbelt Park

Restrooms at the Laurel and Holly Picnic Areas will be closed April 15–November 15, 2025, and remain closed afterward per the Superintendent’s Compendium schedule.

About

This facility is the Ranger Station at Greenbelt Park, an administrative building that provides visitor services and information. It is not a campground and does not offer overnight camping. The station is located near the entrance to the actual Greenbelt Park Campground, approximately two miles from the main park entrance off Greenbelt Road (Route 193). The Ranger Station is open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. and serves as a contact point for campers and day visitors. For overnight camping at Greenbelt Park, visitors must reserve a site at the separate Greenbelt Campground facility, which offers 174 campsites with amenities including hot showers, restrooms, fire rings, picnic tables, and a dump station.

Directions

From Greenbelt Road (Route 193), enter Greenbelt Park. Proceed to the stop sign and turn right. Continue two miles to the Ranger Station near the campground entrance.
