Sandy Beach Campground is located within Guernsey State Park on the shores of Guernsey Reservoir in southeastern Wyoming. The campground offers approximately 53 campsites, with 15 sites featuring partial hookups including electric and water. All sites are equipped with picnic tables and fire rings, accommodating both RVs and tents. The campground provides direct access to designated swimming beaches along the reservoir, making it a popular destination for water recreation. Boat ramps and docks are available for launching watercraft. The park showcases some of the finest examples of Civilian Conservation Corps construction in the Rocky Mountain region, including the historic Guernsey Museum, the Castle, and Brimmer Point. An extensive trail system with approximately 14 miles of restored CCC-era trails offers hiking opportunities with scenic views of the reservoir and surrounding landscape. Guernsey State Park is also near significant Oregon Trail historic sites, including the famous wagon ruts and Register Cliff. The park provides a dump station at the south entrance for RV campers. Standard Wyoming State Parks regulations apply, including a 14-day stay limit within any 30-day period.

Located at Guernsey State Park in Platte County, Wyoming. From the town of Guernsey, follow signs to Guernsey State Park. Sandy Beach Campground is on the west side of the park near the reservoir.
