About

Memorial Lake State Park encompasses 230 acres at the base of Blue Mountain in East Hanover Township, Lebanon County, about 30 minutes northeast of Harrisburg. The centerpiece is an 85-acre lake created by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1934 as part of Fort Indiantown Gap military reservation. The lake offers warm water fishing for bass, panfish, and channel catfish, with a fishing pier and boat rental available. The park does not have traditional tent or RV camping sites. Instead, it offers two large group pavilions available for day-use and overnight group events: the Upper Pavilion and the Middle Pavilion, each accommodating up to 70 people. Both pavilions feature 20-amp electric service and grills. The Middle Pavilion is ADA accessible. Other park amenities include hiking trails, a playground, butterfly garden, ice skating in winter, and boat launch. Canoes, paddleboats, rowboats, and sailboards are available for rent from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Pets are permitted in designated areas only. The park is open year-round from sunrise to sunset.
