About
Salt Fork Shelters provide day-use picnic facilities throughout Salt Fork State Park, Ohio's largest state park encompassing over 17,000 acres of forested hills and a 2,952-acre lake. The park offers six shelter areas: the Marina Shelter in the north parking area, two Beach Shelters near the main beach (reservable), the Campground Shelter in the main campground parking area, three ADA-accessible Picnic Shelters off Park Road 27, two Horse Camp Shelters, and Golf Pro Shop Shelters. Most shelters feature picnic tables, charcoal grills, and electric outlets with nearby restroom facilities. The Beach Shelters can be reserved online through ReserveOhio or by calling 866-644-6727, while other shelters operate on a first-come, first-served basis. The Golf Pro Shop Shelters require calling Salt Fork Lodge at (740) 435-9000. These are day-use facilities only and do not provide overnight camping. For overnight accommodations, the park offers a separate 212-site campground with electric hookups, a lodge, and vacation cabins.
