About

Barkcamp State Park Day Use Shelters are picnic facilities designed for daytime gatherings, family reunions, and group events. These are NOT overnight camping sites. The shelters are situated among seven picnic areas throughout the 1,005-acre park, each providing picnic tables, charcoal grills, water access, and latrine facilities. The park centers around 117-acre Belmont Lake in the rugged hills of Belmont County. While the day use shelters do not permit overnight stays, the park does offer separate camping facilities including 150 electrified campsites, horseman campsites, and camper cabins for those wishing to stay overnight. Day use shelters are available on a first-come, first-served basis or can be reserved in advance through the Ohio State Parks reservation system. Ohio State Parks do not charge entrance fees.
