Situated in the rolling sandstone hills of Ohio's Appalachian highlands, Barkcamp State Park encompasses over 1,000 acres in Belmont County. The park centers around the scenic 117-acre Belmont Lake, offering a peaceful retreat for campers seeking both modern amenities and natural beauty. The campground features 150 electric campsites spread across sunny and shaded areas, accommodating everything from tents to big rigs. The park caters to diverse camping styles, including a dedicated equestrian camping area with 27 electric sites, horse wash facilities, potable water, and high lines. Campers enjoy modern conveniences like hot showers, flush toilets, and a dump station, along with picnic tables and fire rings at each site. The campground includes two ADA-accessible sites and a group camping loop that accommodates 15 sites for organized groups. Beyond camping, Barkcamp State Park offers extensive recreational opportunities including swimming, fishing, boating (electric motors only), hiking trails, horseback riding trails, and seasonal hunting. On-site amenities include volleyball courts, basketball courts, horseshoe pits, and a miniature golf course. The park's wooded setting provides a glimpse of what Ohio's forests looked like before European settlement, making it an ideal destination for nature enthusiasts and outdoor adventurers throughout the year.

Take Interstate 70 to Exit 208. From the east, turn left on State Route 149. From the west, turn right on State Route 149.
