Open year-round. The main campground with electric and full hookup sites operates through winter with reduced services (water not available at sites during cold months). Primitive campsites are reservable April through October and first-come-first-served the rest of the year. All reservations made through reserveohio.com. Maximum stay is 14 consecutive days.

Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Salt Fork State Park Campground sits within Ohio's largest state park, encompassing over 17,000 acres of forested hills, open meadows, and misty valleys in Guernsey County. The campground features 212 campsites spread across multiple areas, with approximately 170 sites offering 50-amp electric hookups and 40 full hookup sites that include water, electric, and sewer connections. An additional primitive campground serves tent campers, and an equestrian camp accommodates horseback riding enthusiasts. The campground provides modern amenities including heated shower houses with flush toilets, a dump station for RV waste disposal, and a camp store. Eighteen campsites are designated as wheelchair accessible. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Registered campers receive access to a private beach and boat launch on the 2,952-acre Salt Fork Lake. Recreation opportunities abound with 14 hiking trails totaling over 24 miles, including a section of Ohio's famous Buckeye Trail. The park features an 18-hole championship golf course, miniature golf, two marinas with eight boat launch ramps, basketball courts, and playgrounds. The Salt Fork Lodge offers additional dining and lodging options within the park.
Directions
From I-77, take Exit 47 for Kimbolton. Head east on Kimbolton Road, then turn left onto Old Twenty One Road. After approximately 5 miles, turn right onto Broadhead Road. Continue for 1 mile, then turn right onto Vandalia Lane. Proceed through the stop sign to reach the campground gatehouse. The park is approximately six miles north of Cambridge.
