About

Rush Campground is a first-come, first-served campground located in the lower district of Buffalo National River near the historic Rush town area. This primitive campground features 12 tent-only sites with no electrical hookups or flush restrooms. Each site accommodates up to 6 people and includes a fire ring and picnic table. During the fee season (March 15 through November 14), sites are $16 per night and potable water is available. In winter when water systems are shut down, camping is free. Vault toilets are available year-round. This is a pack-in/pack-out facility with no trash collection services, so visitors must bring all refuse out with them. The campground is accessible via County Road 6035 from Highway 14 south of Yellville. RVs and trailers are not permitted. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., and campground stays are limited to 14 consecutive days. Dead and down wood may be collected for firewood, and fires must be kept in designated fire rings.

Directions

From Yellville, travel approximately 12 miles south on Highway 14. Turn onto County Road 6035 and follow for approximately 4 miles to the Rush town area. Continue past Rush town about 1 mile until the road forks, bear right, and the campground will be at the end of the road.
