Dam Quarry Campground is an angler's paradise situated along the North Fork River just downstream of Norfork Dam in the Ozark Mountains of northern Arkansas. The campground features 68 campsites with electric hookups, most offering water hookups seasonally, providing excellent access to the tailwater fishery below the dam that has made this area famous for trout fishing. The campground sits at the banks of the North Fork River and Dry Run Creek, offering beautiful views of the forested hills and hollows characteristic of the Ozarks. Beyond fishing, visitors enjoy kayaking, birding, hiking, and wildlife watching in the surrounding public lands. The on-site boat ramp provides direct access to the river, while a marina is located just above the dam. Families will appreciate the playground, and the campground serves as an excellent base for exploring nearby Ozark National Forest. Located three miles southwest of the town of Norfork and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Dam Quarry Campground is part of the Norfork Lake recreation area, one of Arkansas's first water recreation destinations. The region offers diverse outdoor activities including hunting for white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and small game in the surrounding public lands.

Directions

From Mountain Home, take State Route 5 south 14 miles to Salesville, then turn left on State Route 177 for 2 miles. Park is located below Norfork Dam. Follow signs into the campground.
