Bull Shoals White River State Park Campground

Situated below Bull Shoals Dam in the Ozark Mountains, Bull Shoals-White River State Park centers on the legendary trout waters of the White River. The tailwater fishery produces trophy brown and rainbow trout year-round, drawing anglers from across the country. The James A. Gaston Visitor Center overlooks the dam and river, offering exhibits on the area's natural and cultural history. The campground at 129 Bull Shoals Park in Lakeview features 109 sites spread across multiple classes: 63 Class AAA sites with water, 50-amp electric, and sewer; 26 Class B sites with water and 30-amp electric; and 20 tent-only sites without hookups. Three Rent-An-RV units are also available. Every site includes a picnic table, fire ring, and grill grate. Modern bathhouses with private flush toilets and free hot showers operate March through November, while the campground itself remains open year-round. Beyond fishing, the park offers hiking and mountain biking trails, a riverside marina with boat and kayak rentals, a camp store with bait and tackle, and regular interpretive programs. The setting combines accessible amenities with genuine Ozark wilderness character.
