About
Rollins Pond Campground is located on the eastern shore of 442-acre Rollins Pond in the Adirondack Park, offering 287 campsites that range from tent sites to sites accommodating 40-foot RVs. Approximately 80% of the campsites are situated directly on the shoreline, with the remaining 20% offering water views. The campground is known as a quieter alternative to the nearby Fish Creek Pond Campground, though it shares access through Fish Creek's Site 135. The campground excels as a paddling destination, with boat and canoe rentals available at the livery site. Rollins Pond allows motorboats up to 25 HP, and offers boat launches at both Rollins Pond and adjacent Whey Pond. Fishing opportunities include bass, northern pike, yellow perch, and brown bullhead in Rollins Pond, while Whey Pond is stocked annually with brook and rainbow trout. The campground is surrounded by the 79,000-acre Saranac Lakes Wild Forest, and the Otter Hollow Trail begins within the campground, providing access to extensive hiking trails. Other activities include bicycling on the 10 MPH posted blacktop roads and volleyball.
