Rocky Point Campground is the premier developed camping facility on Wright Patman Lake, situated in a mixed hardwood-pine forest in northeast Texas. The campground offers 124 sites all equipped with water and electric hookups, with 15 sites featuring full hookups including sewer, and 38 sites offering 50-amp electric service for larger RVs. The facility operates year-round and accepts reservations through Recreation.gov. The park provides extensive amenities including three restroom buildings with hot showers, a trailer dump station, fish cleaning station, and a boat ramp with courtesy dock. Recreational facilities include a swimming beach, playground, amphitheater with educational programs, basketball and volleyball courts. Hikers can enjoy nature trails, including a 1.3-mile trail connecting to nearby Piney Point Campground. The 30,000-acre lake offers excellent fishing for bass, catfish, crappie, and sunfish. The surrounding forest and lake habitat support diverse wildlife including white-tailed deer, wild turkey, squirrel, waterfowl, and migrating bald eagles and pelicans.
