About

North Shore Park is the largest day-use area on Wright Patman Lake, a 30,000-acre reservoir set amidst the piney woods of northeast Texas near Texarkana. The park provides easy lake access for boating and fishing, with an accessible boat ramp and fishing pier where anglers pursue bass, catfish, crappie, and sunfish. On-shore facilities include a sandy swimming beach, 60 first-come-first-served picnic sites, and a reservable group picnic shelter seating up to 30 people. Recreation options include basketball and sand volleyball courts, a playground, and horseshoe pit. Restrooms with flush toilets are available. The picnic sites do not have water or electricity hookups. This is a day-use only facility; overnight camping is not permitted at North Shore Park. Those seeking overnight accommodations should check Clear Springs Campground, located approximately one mile away.
