Rock Creek Campground occupies a prime location on the southern shore of Perry Lake, surrounded by dense Kansas forest and overlooking 12,000 acres of water and 159 miles of shoreline. The campground offers 80 spacious campsites ranging from primitive walk-in sites to full electric sites with water hookups. Some pull-through sites accommodate large RVs up to 100 feet. Perry Lake has earned the nickname "paradise on the plains" for its exceptional recreation. The lake is considered one of the best sailing destinations in the region, and anglers will find white crappie, walleye, flathead catfish, channel catfish, and white bass throughout the water. The adjacent 27,000 acres of public land support hunting for turkey, deer, quail, pheasant, and waterfowl. The 29-mile Perry Lake loop trail offers hiking from gentle southern slopes to rugged northern terrain. A scenic road follows the shoreline along the campground, offering sweeping lake views. On-site facilities include a large reservable group picnic shelter, playground, shower building, and dump station. Firewood must originate from Jefferson County, Kansas due to emerald ash borer restrictions.

Directions

From Perry, Kansas, take Highway 24 west to KS-237. Continue north for about 3 miles, then turn east on Rock Creek Park Road and follow signs to the campground.
