Closed — Closed for the winter season. The campground typically operates seasonally with water systems shut off during winter months. Park entrance gates are closed from 10pm to 6am on Friday and Saturday nights and throughout holiday weekends.

Rock Creek Campground is located on the southern shore of Perry Lake, a 12,000-acre reservoir known as "paradise on the plains." The campground offers 80 spacious sites divided into multiple loops: Peninsula loops (A, B, C) with electric sites, Whippoorwill loop with electric sites, Edwardsville loop with walk-in tent sites, and Randolph loop with non-electric sites. The facility is surrounded by lake views and dense Kansas forest, creating an ideal environment for both water enthusiasts and nature lovers. Perry Lake has earned a reputation as one of the best sailing lakes in the region, though all types of boating are popular here. The lake offers exceptional fishing opportunities with abundant populations of white crappie, flathead catfish, walleye, white bass, channel catfish, and sauger. The surrounding 27,000 acres of public land are dedicated to wildlife management, providing habitat for turkey, deer, quail, pheasant, rabbit, squirrel, ducks, and geese. A scenic road follows the shoreline along the length of the campground, offering sweeping lake views. The nearby 29-mile Perry Lake loop trail provides hiking opportunities ranging from easy terrain in the south to more rugged elevation changes in the north.

Directions

From Perry, Kansas, take Highway 24 west to KS-237. Continue north for about 3 miles, then turn east on Rock Creek Park Road and follow signs to the campground.
