About

Clinton State Park sits on the north shore of 7,000-acre Clinton Lake, one of the most visited lakes in Kansas. Located just four miles west of Lawrence, the park provides easy access for residents of the Kansas City metro area while offering a natural retreat with wooded campsites and lake views. The park features over 400 campsites across several campground areas. Prairie Clover Campground offers 150+ sites including 34 full hookup sites with 50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections. Coneflower Campground provides an additional mix of electric/water sites and primitive camping. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill grate. Six shower buildings serve campers, with the south shower houses in each campground area remaining open year-round. Beyond camping, Clinton State Park offers 16 boat ramps, eight courtesy docks, a designated swimming beach with shower house, archery range, four playgrounds, and an extensive trail system popular with mountain bikers. Seven modern cabins are also available for those preferring more shelter. The park operates year-round with camp hosts on staff from April through October.
