Perry State Park encompasses over 1,250 acres on the southwest shore of Perry Reservoir in Jefferson County, Kansas. The park is situated 18 miles northeast of Topeka and offers convenient access between the state capital and Lawrence. Four campgrounds provide 124 sites with electric and water hookups plus 350 primitive sites. The utility campgrounds include Eagle Landing, Cougar Pass, Lake View, and Cottonwood Bridge, featuring pull-through sites suitable for large RVs with both 30 and 50 amp electric service. The park provides comprehensive amenities including five shower houses, both flush and vault restroom facilities, two dump stations, and a camp store for supplies. Eight modern cabins are available for rent, each featuring heating and air conditioning, kitchen facilities, bathroom with shower, and outdoor fire ring with grill. The Apache cabin offers ADA-accessible accommodations with a walk-in shower. Recreation opportunities abound with 11,000 acres of Perry Lake offering excellent channel catfish fishing and 160 miles of shoreline. Twenty-five miles of equestrian trails and 20 miles of hiking and biking trails wind through the upland forest. Two boat ramps with courtesy docks provide lake access, and a swimming beach with beach house serves summer visitors.
