Company Creek Road inundated at northern end. Battalion Creek culverts are beginning to be overtopped. Water begins damaging Wood Road. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:30 PM PDT Friday the stage was 20.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 19.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:30 PM PDT Friday was 20.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.9 feet early Sunday morning. Rock Creek Campground sits along Rock Creek near where it meets the Chiwawa River, approximately 20 miles up Chiwawa River Road from Lake Wenatchee. The campground features 8 campsites located in a valley floor setting, surrounded by the scenic landscapes of Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The campground serves as a trailhead for the Rock Creek Trail and Estes Butte Trail, making it popular with hikers exploring the backcountry. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis only with no advance reservations available. Visitors can pay for campsites on-site using cash, check, or by scanning a QR code with the Recreation.gov mobile app where cellular service permits. Basic amenities include vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire pits at each site. No potable water is available, so campers must bring their own drinking water. The campground can accommodate trailers up to 30 feet. Sites cost $20 per night with an additional vehicle fee of $7-10 per night. Interagency Senior and Access passes receive a 50% discount on the single campsite fee.
Directions
From Leavenworth, head southwest on US-2 West for 15 miles. Turn right onto WA-207 North and continue 4.4 miles. Turn right on Chiwawa Loop Road, staying right at the intersection. Take the second left onto Chiwawa River Road/Forest Road 6200 and follow it for 14.6 miles to the campground.
