About

Rock Creek Campground occupies a scenic location along Rock Creek near its confluence with the Chiwawa River in Washington's Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. At 2,500 feet elevation and 20 miles up the Chiwawa River drainage from Lake Wenatchee, this remote campground serves as a gateway to the surrounding wilderness. The campground provides direct trailhead access to both Rock Creek Trail and Estes Butte Trail, making it a strategic basecamp for day hiking adventures in the Cascades. The setting along the creek offers a peaceful backcountry atmosphere. Facilities are intentionally primitive, featuring only vault toilets with no potable water available. Campers must bring all their own drinking water and should be prepared for limited to no cellular service in this remote valley. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with payment available via the Recreation.gov Scan and Pay mobile feature for those who download the app before arrival.
