About

Nineteenmile Campground is a small, primitive campground located along the scenic Chiwawa River in Washington's Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Situated at 2,570 feet elevation, about 22 miles from Lake Wenatchee, the campground provides direct river access in a large glacial-carved valley setting. The campground has 4 single campsites that operate on a first-come, first-served basis with on-site payment via QR code scanning through the Recreation.gov mobile app. Each site accommodates up to 2 tents or 1 RV and 1 tent, with a maximum of 2 vehicles per site. Maximum trailer length is 30 feet. Site dimensions range from 30x12 feet to 40x12 feet. Facilities are minimal: vault toilets are provided but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own water supply. Access requires navigating the final 10 miles of Chiwawa River Road (Forest Road 6200), which is very rough gravel and dirt that may not be suitable for low-clearance vehicles or large RVs.

Directions

From Leavenworth, WA, take US-2 West for 15 miles, then turn right on WA-207 North and follow it for 4.3 miles. Turn right on Chiwawa Loop Road and go 1.2 miles, keeping right at the intersection. Take the second left onto Chiwawa River Road/Forest Road 6200 and follow it for 18.6 miles. The final 10 miles is rough gravel and dirt.
