About
Located along the scenic Chiwawa River approximately 18 miles from Lake Wenatchee, Riverbend Campground offers an intimate camping experience in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. This small campground features 6 single campsites nestled in a forested valley setting with convenient river access for fishing and water recreation. The campground accommodates vehicles and trailers up to 30 feet in length, with varying spur dimensions ranging from 40 to 175 feet.
Riverbend operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. Payment can be made on-site using cash or check, or via the Recreation.gov mobile app's Scan and Pay feature. Due to its remote location along Forest Road 6200, cellular service may be limited, so visitors should download the Recreation.gov app before arrival. The campground typically experiences light usage, providing a quieter alternative to more popular campgrounds in the area.
This rustic campground offers basic amenities including vault toilets and picnic tables at each site, but campers must bring their own drinking water as none is available on-site. The location serves as an excellent base for exploring the Chiwawa River area and nearby trails. Sites include fire pits, and an additional vehicle fee of $10 per night applies beyond the base camping fee.
