About

Riverbend Campground is a small, rustic campground nestled along the Chiwawa River within the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Located 18 miles from Lake Wenatchee at an elevation of 2,500 feet, the campground offers direct river access for fishing, wading, and enjoying the mountain stream scenery. The campground features six standard non-electric sites ranging in size from 40 to 175 feet in length. All sites are first-come, first-served with no advance reservations available. Campers must physically arrive to claim a site and can pay using the Recreation.gov mobile app's Scan and Pay feature. Facilities are primitive with vault toilets available but no potable water, so campers should bring their own drinking water. This is an ideal destination for those seeking a quiet, uncrowded camping experience with easy river access. The Chiwawa River corridor offers excellent opportunities for trout fishing and wildlife viewing. Maximum trailer length is 30 feet, and each site is limited to two vehicles.
