Robinson North
Open

Robinson Creek North is open and operating first-come-first-served. The campground typically operates late April through early October, weather permitting. A California Camp Fire Permit is required for campfires and camp stoves. Bears frequent the area; all food must be stored in provided bear-resistant lockers.

About

Robinson Creek North Campground occupies a scenic creekside location at 7,000 feet elevation in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, approximately 9 miles from Bridgeport via Twin Lakes Road. The campground features 29 sites spread beneath towering Jeffrey pines that provide partial shade throughout the day. Lodgepole pines, sagebrush, and summer wildflowers complete the high-desert mountain landscape. Robinson Creek runs directly through the campground, offering convenient access to rainbow trout fishing without leaving camp. Each site includes a picnic table, campfire ring with grill, and bear-resistant food storage locker. The campground provides vault toilets, drinking water from a hand pump, and trash collection. Firewood is available for purchase on-site. The Twin Lakes area lies nearby, providing expanded recreation including boating, canoeing, and fishing for Kokanee salmon, rainbow trout, and brown trout. The Robinson Creek Trail departs from the area, leading into the rugged Hoover Wilderness with additional trails for hiking and horseback riding. Black bears frequent this area, so all food must be stored properly in the provided lockers.
