About

Robinson Creek North Campground sits along Robinson Creek at 7,000 feet elevation in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, just 9 miles from Bridgeport, California. The campground is nestled beneath towering Jeffrey pines that provide partial shade, with lodgepole pines, sagebrush, and summer wildflowers dotting the landscape. Robinson Creek flows through the campground and offers good rainbow trout fishing that can be easily accessed from camp. The area provides excellent access to outdoor recreation. The popular Robinson Creek Trail departs from the vicinity, and Upper and Lower Twin Lakes are nearby, offering beautiful mountain scenery, boating, canoeing, and fishing for Kokanee salmon, rainbow trout, and brown trout. The rugged Hoover Wilderness Area can be accessed from the Twin Lakes area for additional hiking and horseback riding opportunities. This campground operates first-come, first-served and typically opens in late April through early October, weather and conditions permitting. Black bears are active in the area, and all sites are equipped with food storage lockers. Educational programs are held on summer weekends at the neighboring Robinson Creek South Campground amphitheater.
