About

Crags Campground is located in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest at 7,000 feet elevation, just 10 miles from Bridgeport, California in the scenic Twin Lakes area. The campground features 22 family sites (single, double, and triple configurations) plus a group site accommodating up to 45 people. Sites are shaded by Jeffrey pines and offer views of the dramatic Sawtooth Ridge, with craggy peaks exceeding 10,500 feet. Robinson Creek flows through the campground, providing easy access to rainbow trout fishing directly from camp. Upper and Lower Twin Lakes are within walking distance, offering boating, canoeing, and fishing for Kokanee salmon and rainbow and brown trout. Twin Lakes Resort across the road provides showers, laundry, and other services. The rugged Hoover Wilderness Area is accessible from the Twin Lakes area via trails including the popular Robinson Creek Trail, offering additional hiking and horseback riding opportunities. Bears are active in the area, and all food must be stored in the provided food lockers.
