About
Paha Campground is located just 10 miles from Bridgeport, California on Twin Lakes Road at an elevation of 7,000 feet in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The campground sits alongside Robinson Creek, where massive Jeffrey pines tower over the sites providing partial shade. Lodgepole pines, sagebrush, and summer wildflowers dot the surrounding landscape. The campground offers 21 sites including standard single sites, double sites, one furnished yurt, and one ADA-accessible site. All sites are equipped with picnic tables, food storage lockers, and campfire rings with grills. Vault toilets and potable drinking water are available. Robinson Creek provides good rainbow trout fishing accessible directly from the campground, and the popular Robinson Creek Trail offers hiking opportunities. Upper and Lower Twin Lakes are just up the road, offering beautiful mountain scenery, boating, canoeing, and fishing for Kokanee salmon, rainbow, and brown trout. The rugged Hoover Wilderness Area can be accessed from the Twin Lakes area for additional hiking and horseback riding. Bears frequent the area, so all food must be stored in approved containers.
