About

Crags Group Campground is located 10 miles from Bridgeport, California, at 7,000 feet elevation in the Twin Lakes area along Robinson Creek. The campground sits beneath a forest of Jeffrey pines with views of the rugged Sawtooth Ridge, where craggy peaks top out at over 10,500 feet. Sagebrush and summer wildflowers dot the landscape around the partially shaded sites. The campground features one group site that can accommodate up to 45 people, plus several single and double-family sites. All sites include picnic tables, food storage lockers, and fire rings. Paved roads and parking spurs provide easy access throughout the campground. The Twin Lakes area offers excellent fishing in both Robinson Creek and the lakes, along with boating, hiking into the Hoover Wilderness, and horseback riding opportunities. Nearby amenities include restaurants, shower and laundry facilities at Twin Lakes Resort. Educational programs are held on weekends from July 4 through Labor Day at the neighboring Robinson Creek South Campground. A California Camp Fire Permit issued by CalFire is required for campfire, barbecue, and portable stove use.
