About

Crags Group Campground is a reservable group camping site within Crags Campground, located near Twin Lakes in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The site sits at approximately 7,000 feet elevation with striking views of the craggy peaks of Sawtooth Ridge, which tops out at over 10,500 feet. The group area can accommodate up to 45 people and includes a central campfire circle, multiple picnic and serving tables, grills, food storage lockers, and ample parking on paved surfaces. The campground is about 10 miles from Bridgeport via Twin Lakes Road and offers easy access to Upper and Lower Twin Lakes. The lakes provide opportunities for boating, canoeing, and fishing for Kokanee salmon, rainbow trout, and brown trout. Hiking and horseback riding trails in the area lead toward the Hoover Wilderness and Yosemite backcountry. Facilities include flush toilets and potable drinking water. Black bears frequent the area, so all food must be stored in the provided bear-resistant lockers. Dogs are permitted but must remain leashed. Nearby amenities in Bridgeport include restaurants, showers, and laundry facilities.
